One of my favourite things about East London is how many interesting and pretty things there are to see. Unfortunately, one of my least favourite things is just how busy it gets on weekends because of this. Today, The Bulgarian and I went for a walk around the neighbourhood. Wanting to avoid the crowds, we wandered around some of the smaller back streets and found some fun things!
First off, some beautiful tulips from The Bulgarian. He showed up on my doorstep on Saturday with this gorgeous bunch for me. I love flowers, and tulips are some of my favourites. I just think they’re such a cheerful flower. There was no occasion, just him being a sweetheart.
Turns out it was a chocolate shop! These boxes are £75 for 12 bars, which is pricey, but the little bit of chocolate we got to taste was delicious.
I loved these brightly coloured teapots!
Excuse the chipped nail polish, but how cute is this spoon?
The tea shop had lots of pots of tea out for sampling. The mint matcha one and the mango ones were my favourites. I took a little cup with me for the road.
Broadway Market, found this cute little bookshop.
Tudor style architecture is my favourite, and I’ve always thought this pub on Goldsmiths Row was really cute.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend too!
