5 Things to Do this Bank Holiday Weekend

1. A Miami Vice themed party at The Queen of Hoxton


On Sunday night, the Queen of Hoxton is bringing the 80s back with a Miami Vice themed party. Famed for their rooftop that changes seasonally, if the weather holds up, this would be a pretty fun evening. Tickets £6/£8 on the door.

2. The Budapest Bar beer tasting – with free food!

I’ve mentioned these guys before, but this weekend, The Budapest Bar is returning to The Shoreditch Arts Club for another pop up. Tickets are from £13.90 and you can buy them here. Your ticket will get you entry to the craft beer tasting, plus access to the free buffet. Bonus!

3. The Star of Bethnal Green’s Street Party



Who doesn’t love a good street party? The forecast for Monday isn’t so great, but if you’re in the area, The Star of Bethnal green is having a street party. The party starts at noon, and have even thought to provide entertainment for the kids such as a bouncy castle. Tickets are £5 and you can buy them here.

4. Check out an exhibition


The Flowers gallery on Kingsland Road is currently showing the work of Korean photographer Boomoon. This weekend might be the perfect excuse to go check it out!


5. Party at The Magic Roundabout


The Magic Roundabout is Old Street’s roundabout turned into a bar, and this Sunday, you can go and dance your little socks off all day. Entry is free and the party runs from noon til 11pm.Details here.
